Your Inner Hope

Chek Lok Kun

I’m Lok Kun, a clinical psychologist dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of their emotional well-being. My journey in the field of psychology began at UCSI University, where I earned my Master of Clinical Psychology degree. Through it, I also gained invaluable experience through clinical placements at UCSI Psychology Centre, Dignity for Children Foundation, and Sakeenah Medical Center. I’m also a registered allied health practitioner under the Malaysia Allied Health Professions Council.

My approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices, with a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These modalities are effective in addressing a wide range of emotional difficulties as well as neurodevelopmental issues such as learning difficulties and ADHD. I’m also experienced in working with clients dealing with personality and behavior issues.

My commitment to providing quality mental health care extends from students to adults and children, having conducted clinical intake interviews, administered and interpreted psychological assessments, and delivered psychotherapy to individuals seeking support. Additionally, I’ve organized mental health screenings and facilitated workshops, allowing me to contribute to the well-being of the community.

If you’re seeking guidance and support on your path to emotional well-being, I’m here to help. Together, we can work toward positive change and growth.
